Massimo Ferrari and Gaia Capurso founded MaGa Production in 2010. Massimo and Gaia gained a valuable experience in Cinecittà where they produced many documentaries about famous Italian actors and directors, along with TV-series and docu-film. Their productions received important national and international acclaims.

MASSIMO FERRARI
Author & Director
Massimo Ferrari graduated in Science of Communication at La Sapienza University, Rome, and was hired by Cinecittà Entertainment – home of TV productions in Cinecittà – in 2002.
He is the author and director of numerous documentaries about the Italian movie myths: Roberto Benigni, Sophia Loren, Totò, Manfredi, Germi, Dino Risi, Tognazzi and Alberto Sordi.
These documentaries were transmitted on air on Sky Cinema, Mediaset and La7 and they participated in different Festivals: Rome Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and New York Film Festival.
In 2006 he became head of the Cinecittà Documentary Sector with Gaia Capurso. He was also the author and director of Cinecittà Days, an 80 episodes docu-fiction produced for Sky Cinema.
For the program “Vite Straordinarie” on Rete4 he conceived a series of documentaries about great Italian actors and musicians: Massimo Troisi, Mina, Lucio Battisti, Rino Gaetano.
Between 2008 and 2009 he realized 7monographs on the A.S. Rome greatest players. The monographs were produced for Filmmaster Television and transmitted on the Rome Channel.
He founded MaGa Production in 2010 and directed the docufilm Lady Asl, on the Lazio health scandals, that was distributed in newsstands in Rome and province and was honoured by the national news.
In 2011 the documentary Armando Picchi,was distributed with the Corriere dello Sport, winning two awards at the International Festival of Sports Documentary (FICTS) and was later transmitted on TV by ESPN France and Italy.
In 2013 the documentary ATLANTIS (The Women Workers’ War) won the best documentary award at the Workers Unite Film Festival in New York and the Special Jury Prize at the Documentary Festival “Hai visto mai?” of Cortona.
In the same year he edited the fashion movie IMAGINARIUM that was selected for the A.S.V.O.F.F Festival of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
In 2015 he collaborated with Michele Placido and directed the second unit in the movie Seven Minutes.
In 2016 he wrote and directed the short movie The Interview with Ambra Angiolini and Gianmarco Tognazzi to promote “Progetto Libellula”.
In 2017 he wrote and directed Where The Clouds Go. The documentary preview was shown at the Chamber of Deputies on March 6, 2017.
GAIA CAPURSO

Gaia Capurso graduated in Humanities at La Sapienza University, Rome and was hired by Cinecittà Entertainment in 2003.
She is the author of numerous documentaries on the myths of the Italian Cinema: Roberto Benigni, Sophia Loren, Nino Manfredi, Pietro Germi, Dino Risi, Alberto Sordi, that were broadcast on Sky Cinema, Mediaset and La7.
In 2006 she became head of the Cinecittà Documentary Sector with Massimo Ferrari. She produced an 80 episodes docu-fiction for Sky Cinema, Cinecittà Days.
In 2010 she founded MaGa Production with Massimo Ferrari and produced Lady ASL, docu-film on the Lazio health scandals.

In the same year she produced the fashion movie IMAGINARIUM that was selected for the A.S.V.O.F.F Festival of the Centre Pompidou in Paris.
In 2016 she signed and produced the documentary Where The Clouds Go, broadcast on Sky Arte HD. The documentary won for the Best Documentary Human Right Section ad the Sole Luna Doc Festival in Treviso and the Jury Students Award at the Sole Luna Doc Festival in Palermo. She was the executive producer of the short film The Interview with Ambra Angiolini and Gianmarco Tognazzi.
In 2017 she conceived and produced the TV-series The Invisible Cities (8 documentaries of 50 minutes) broadcast on TV2000.
